Impact Business Strategy That is Good for Everyone and Everything

Who would have thought that anyone would hand out biodegradable pens as a promotional item? Not that biodegradable is a bad thing, of course. But for people who care about the environment, that is eye-catching. This was a great start to a workshop this morning. It got even better.

The focus was understandably succeeding in business, but Brian went much further than just success as we usually think of it. He defined it as “doing good as a net positive outcome for all.” I took it to include your company, your employees, the customer, and the environment, as no one wants to live on a sinking and stinking ship with people who you don’t get along with. Add to that company values such as “measuring employee performance by how much they help others to succeed” and “choosing to act with a benevolent mindset

Brian presented a simple strategy for building a brand that holds such values as critical to success that includes personal fulfillment, what I might term becoming more fully human, along with the financial success that allows for sustainability and growth.

bPOZ was founded by Brian, who is driven by a deep love of creativity and the power of being of service to humanity, and it represents the culmination of his life long dream to live by that ideal every day.

Also, Brian also serves as the director of business development for Generate Impact , (note the imprint on the pen), a benevolent business that exists to serve international humanitarian organizations through innovative technology solutions. Generate Impact was founded by a man named Chiedo John. Chiedo, before I met him, was referred to me by many as “an amazing man”.
